China Imports, Exports of July Set a New High
  
On August 10, the General Administration of Customs of China released China’s imports and exports data in the first seven months of 2010.
According to China customs’ statistical data, from January to July, China’s imports and exports totaled USD 1617.05 billion, with an increase of 40.9 percent year on year. Of the total, exports realized USD 850.49 billion, up 35.6 percent compared with a year earlier and imports reached USD 766.56 billion, with a large growth of 47.2 percent year on year. The trade surplus was USD 83.93 billion, with a decline of 21.2 percent year on year.
In July alone, China’s imports and exports realized USD 262.31 billion, up 30.8 percent year on year. In which, exports reached USD 145.52 billion, with an increase of 38.1 percent year on year; imports USD 116.79 billion, with a growth of 22.7 percent from a year earlier. Compared with this June, imports and exports of July increased by 3 percent, which set a new high.
